Make Your Bath An Oasis
by Angela Kaciomber

I bet you didn't realize how import baths were. They keep
you clean of course but in Ancient Rome, it was the place
for business men to meet, conduct business, and network.
Back then, women weren't allowed to use them. Roman bath
houses could be compared to a spa. They had hot and cold
water baths, along with a sauna and a gymnasium

In the modern world, we take our bathes in private. We like
the quiet comfort of being by ourselves after a hard days
work. Taking a relaxing bath is quite soothing.

The typical bath in a home consist of a tub shower
combination, toilet and sink. A larger more luxurious bath
can include a whirlpool, steam shower, his and her sinks,
vanities, sitting area, storage and perhaps skylights.

Its easy to turn your ordinary bath into a calming oasis.
Have a bunch of bath oils and scents at hand. Maybe make
your bathroom into a theme, like a sea theme or a garden.
Having large fluffy towels and floating candles makes a
nice added touch. It's entirely up to you.

Maybe your bath needs a little bit more done to it than
adding a few flowers.

Two things play a major component in the affect the outcome
of your bath remodeling job. The size of your room and
budget.

A successful bath remodeling occurs with advance planning.
Planning ensures that your layout ideas and fixtures work
together within your bath square footage and budget.

Place your sink and shelves away from the tub. Don't put
anything that can be affected by water near your shower.
Allow for splashed and spilt water.

Keep in mind, you will need a ventilation system. Hot water
creates moisture, and mold and mildew thrive in moist
places. Improper ventilation is one of the worst things
that can happen to your bath. Black mold can grow on the
walls and ruin your newly finished bath.

Are you a bathtub person? Or do you like the shower. When
remodeling your bath, keep your preferences in mind.
Wouldn't it be a waste if you're a shower person to have
installed a whirlpool tub and never use it? Why not splurge
on a body massage unit with multiple shower jets?

Make sure you maintain bath safety. Keep anything
electronic away from your new tub and sink. Also, place
slip proof mats in and around your shower or tub.

Create your bathroom to your liking. Make it plain or as
elaborate to your taste. Remember, this is your place to
relax.
